‘Leave early to avoid missing your flights,’ FAAN tells travellers amid MMIA renovation
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has urged travelers using Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, to leave early for the airport to avoid missing their flights due to ongoing renovation works.
FAAN made the announcement in an official travel advisory released on Friday.
The authority urged passengers to leave early for the airport to avoid missing flights amid ongoing construction activities.
It also called on travellers to comply with traffic instructions to help maintain smooth traffic flow around the airport.
FAAN also noted that the space at the airport is limited due to the renovation efforts and discouraged non-travellers from visiting the airport to prevent congestion.
“Renovation works have commenced at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. To ensure a smooth travel experience, we kindly request that passengers: Leave early for the airport to avoid missing their flights.
Obey all traffic instructions in place to aid traffic flow. Ensure that their vehicles are parked properly at the car park.
“Only travellers should visit the airport, as there is limited space available due to the renovation works. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding at this period. We shall continue to serve you better.”
